Biography Work, as a therapeutic approach, appeared in the mid 1970s. It was developed by Bernard Lievegoed, a Dutch psychotherapist, the author and organizational development expert who was inspired by Dr. Rudolf Steiner (Austrian philosopher, spiritual researcher and social reformer).
Biographical Counselling is based on Biography Work. It is a therapeutic method that integrates ones inner healing and self development, and is a combination of a humanistic psychology and a scientific approach to spirituality. The method includes the teachings of Carl Gustav Jung, Carl Rogers, Martin Buber, Karl König and other great humanists of the 20th century.
In my work with human biographies I neither promote nor follow any specific religion or spiritual path.
